Candle care & burning tips
- A beautiful detail for your home. Vilma Candles sculptural candles bring warmth, elegance and atmosphere to everyday moments, celebrations and special occasions.
- Allow for dripping wax. Natural soy wax melts a little faster than paraffin, so wax may drip or run down the candle as it burns. Always place your candle on a fire-resistant, heatproof tray on a stable surface.
- Keep away from draughts. These candles are not intended to be burned in wind or draughty areas. Choose a sheltered spot.
- Trim the wick before each burn. We recommend shortening it to approximately 5 mm. This helps the candle burn more evenly and last longer.
- Every shape burns differently. The flame may change in size and intensity as the candle burns. This is a natural characteristic of sculptural candles.
- Made to be admired. Intricate shapes and delicate details are created primarily for their decorative appeal, so sculptural candles may not burn down completely.
- Safety comes first. Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep it away from flammable objects and out of reach of children and pets.
Average burning time*
* The average burning time shown on a candle’s page comes from our own burn tests in the workshop: in a room without draughts, with the wick trimmed to about 5 mm. It is a guide, not a guarantee – every sculptural candle burns in its own way, and draughts, room temperature and very long or very short burns can change it.
Vilma Candles – more than candles. Warmth you can feel.
